Jenn Richardson

Jenn has been a yoga teacher in the San Diego area for over a decade. She has obtained her 500-hour certification with renowned teacher and author, Rolf Gates. Expect to find her guiding students to look within, listen deeply and to be aware of their own unique anatomy. Jenn believes in creating and holding a loving space for each person, speaking words that are high in vibration and facilitating an experience that allows people to feel empowered, inspired, and safe. Jenn has lead and co-lead Yoga Alliance approved Teacher Training's, retreats in and out of the country and studied body and energy work. She has worked with student athletes for many seasons at, the University of San Diego guiding sport specific yoga, breathing and meditation.  Jenn also volunteers with San Diego Sharp Hospice in support of the dying process as a dignified and spiritual experience. She looks forward to continuing to learn, study and grow within the community that has supported her and holds the intention that she, through yoga, is a source of support and empowerment too.

Courtney Preis

Courtney Preis is a singer/songwriter and Yoga teachers from San Diego, CA. She is a self-taught guitarist and classically trained pianist. She occasionally plays live music for yoga classes. Currently, Courtney is not only in charge of Social Media & Marketing here at Riffs Studios she is also a certified yoga instructor, teaching Slow Flow and Restorative. In her classes you'll feel uplifted by the flow of the class alongside her positive energy and loving nature. 

Lauren Ursch

Lauren relocated to San Diego from Boston, MA after falling in love with the Pacific Ocean, the vibrant yoga community and active-healthy lifestyle that San Diego has to offer. Lauren began practicing yoga in 2009 and was initially drawn to the physical aspects of the practice. After graduating from Northeastern University, Lauren began working in Boston, in the mental health field as a Recreational Therapist. As such, Lauren found herself turning to yoga for the psychological and spiritual benefits as a form of self-care. Consequently, she discovered the naturally therapeutic effects of yoga and meditation and came to realize she couldn’t live without yoga and all the joy it brings to her life.
Lauren followed her heart to Bali, Indonesia where she completed her RYT-200 Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher training in 2015.

Lauren has her Masters of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology and B.F.A. in Creative Arts Therapy. Lauren is passionate about the healing arts, holistic health and the mind-body connection. She always seeks to integrate her mental health training into her yoga classes by emphasizing the therapeutic benefits of asanas and breath work. Lauren is devoted to helping others on a positive path to optimal wellness and harmony in all aspects of life.

Beginner friendly, all are welcome! This class introduces the fundamentals of yoga with an intelligently designed sequence of poses that are accessible to new students and allows the more experienced practitioner a chance to explore and master the intricacies of each posture. Students of this class will enjoy a well rounded yoga experience without the demand of a fast moving sequence and create a foundation upon which to build their practice.
